The achieved % is the current value of an asset that is linked to a goal. It is important to note that while showing the % achieved of a goal in the "Goal Status" section, we are comparing the current value of an asset with the future value of the goal. E.g. in this case below, the goal value is 3,408,911. This is the future value required in 2021. Now, we have linked a property whose current value is 2,184,992.

At this stage, the system assumes that the current value of the property (2,184,992) will grow to 3,408,911 by 2021. As a result, the additional suggested value is now 0.

Some advisors argue that why not show the goal status achived % as 100%? We believe that it is better to be conservative and not show the goal achieved % as 100%. This is because, the asset is yet to grow to that amount. In future, it may not grow at the rate assumed to be grown at.

Further, in some cases, there are regular investments that are involved. E.g. take the case of a life insurance policy or a recurring deposit. Here, we assume that the recurring investments will continue happening and accordingly, we calculate the future value and thus adjust the additional suggested values. So, in such cases too, it does not make sense to show an inflated goal achieved %.
